This part of Ontario, like the nearby Thousand Islands, is a geological extension of the Adirondack mountains, featuring beautiful scenery with towering pines and rocky hills interspersed with lovely clear lakes and “miles of isles.”
 

NEW FOR 2012: Fancy Free’s main floor bathroom has been completely renovated and now offers a soaker bathtub/shower in a beautiful glass tiled alcove, with a new marble-topped cabinet with set-in sink, tiled in luxurious porcelain. A classic cottage swim raft has been added to the front dock area for more swimming fun!  We now offer our guests private use of a 14 foot motorboat, three canoes, two kayaks, a swim raft and a Sunfish sailboat on a complimentary basis. 

Fancy Free’s walls tell a story of more than a century of endless summer: the unparalleled boating, fishing and swimming offered by Big Rideau Lake is quite simply a family vacation paradise.
